Biography

Cuong Do joined BioVie as President & Chief Executive Officer in May 2021, having been a long-time board member, to lead the integration of the recently acquired neurology assets and the newly combined portfolio.

Prior to BioVie, he was President of the Samsung Global Strategy Group, where he helped set the strategic direction of Samsung Group’s diverse business portfolio. Prior to Samsung, he was the Chief Strategy Officer for Merck, Tyco Electronics, and Lenovo. He was also a former senior partner at McKinsey & Company, where he spent 17 years and helped build the healthcare, high tech and corporate finance practices. Cuong often straddles the worlds of healthcare and high tech and has helped companies grow by pursuing new opportunities through internal development, acquisitions, corporate venturing, and partnerships.

He is an active entrepreneur – starting companies himself, coaching startup CEOs, and serving on startup boards. He founded Callidus Biopharma, Lysodel Therapeutics, and M6P Therapeutics (company developing gene and enzyme replacement therapies for lysosomal storage disorders).

He currently or formerly served on the boards of AngioSafe, Autism Speaks, BioVie, Caring for Cambodia, Celebrate the Children, Curve, Hope Trust, Fulbright University Vietnam, ILiAD Biotechnologies, Institute for Exceptional Care, Laava, National Youth Science Foundation, Newark Academy, Profectum Foundation, RenalSense, the Tuck School of business at Dartmouth, and WuXi AppTec. He also serves on the Investment Committee for The CXO Fund and K2 Access Fund.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College, New Hampshire, U.S. and a Master of Business Administration from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
